Hey guys.
I will try and make this short, but please bare with me.

I purchased a vantec sleeving kit, and molex replacements (BlueUV).

After spending several hours installing it all perfectly I placed the PSU back into my case and plugged all my devices back in.

However, when I powered on, my machine didn't post and I noticed my fans spinning slower than usual. Also, my Cathode was dim, only half lit.

Now, I rechecked all the connectors on the molex's, and reseated most of them aswell.
I'm going to attempt to draw something to explain how I tested this.

The box is my PSU, the dotted lines are three of the leads. ^=4-Pin Molex. `=floppy molex.

When my fans or lights are plugged into lead (1) they are dim and slow.

When my fans or lights are plugged into lead (2) they run normally.

When my fans or lights are plugged into lead (3) they are dim and slow.

Now, I had used duct tape to hold down the pins whilst I got the smaller sleeving over them. Could the gluey residue be causing conductivity problems between the connectors?
I have checked the pins are securely in the molex and they are.

Any other suggestions or ideas are appreciated.

Thanks!

Hmm, sounds to me like you've swapped out the +5v and +12v wires or something like that. Check all your wires again

I!

yup or any other poor connections, broken strands, ect

I was super careful and I took maskingtape and labeled out everything even the 2 different ground cables on each molex stating if their the one next to the red or the yellow cable, and sleeve them back, taking out/off the masking tape of each label.

Mine works flawlessly, Thankgod I wasn't lazy and took the long careful way.
