Slave drive is messing up, need help.

So I just got my new SSD in today, and have installed Windows 7 Pro x64 on it.

Whenever I try and boot into windows with my slave drive that just has a bunch of media on it, i get presented with a The Recycle Bin on E:\ is Corrupted error message. Whenever I try to access the slave drive, it gets stuck in an endless connecting/disconnecting cycle, with autoplay popping up over and over.

When I try to reboot, i get prompted to run a chkdsk on the slave drive, and shortly after starting the chkdsk, I get never ending list of "File Sector on #### is Unreadable"

I have so much stuff I would hate to lose on this drive, can anybody help me figure out what is going on? This drive worked perfectly fine before when I was running Windows on my old mechanical drive, but as soon as I installed Windows on my new SSD and I boot into windows with this slave drive in, I get this problem.
 
Do you still have your old mechanical drive with Windows you can put back in and go back to where you were pre-SSD?
 
I am in my old installation of Windows now that's on my mechanical drive. I plugged in my slave drive into another computer upstairs and so far it is working and copying over all my music. I will try it on this computer as well.

Would this drive being configured as IDE in the bios and my new SSD being configured as AHCI in the bios have anything to do with this slave drive messing up?
 
Well after booting into my old installation of Windows, I ran a check on the slave drive for any errors and it said it found some. I plugged my new SSD in and booted into that and the problem seems to have gone away.

No idea how the slave drive could have gotten bad sectors when it was unplugged the whole time while I was installing Windows on my SSD, but as long as it is working for now, that is all that matters to me.

Edit: I take that back. Drive seems to be hanging a lot and isn't want to fully copy over files to another drive. Currently running a chkdsk on it. I hope I can salvage this data :/

That sounds just like my WD 1.5TB drive right before I had to RMA it. Good luck.
 
The drive is reporting as BAD under HD Tune. When I try and do a chkdsk /r it gets stuck on stage 4 of 5. When I do a chkdsk in properties and choose "scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors", it finishes and reports no problems.

I can access the data on the drive but it won't always let me copy data off of the drive. I've resorted to copying and pasting 4 movies at a time onto another drive, and most of the time it will finish, albeit a lot longer.
