Present problems and future improvements.

We had some storms yesterday, and lost power for many hours. I also believe water has killed one of the machines in the shed. This was a triple GTX 460 GPU machine. It won't do anything at present. I am testing the components to determine what has failed.

I'm also going to have to shut everything down for a couple of weeks during our vacation, because no one will be here to tend them and I don't like the weather conditions that are possible. I'll be zero production for a while, but back better than ever. I had wished to hit 30 million before this, but it was not to be.

I intend to replace the damaged machine with a multi-cpu machine. This will be an improvement in ppd and power usage, and hopefully keep me in the top 20 for more than the next few months.

When BD is available, I plan to have all 4 sockets populated. That should be fun!

Back in a few weeks...

I'm sorry to hear about water damage to one of your rigs. Did your shed have a leak or something?

Either way, have fun on your vacation! I don't blame you wanting to shut your machines off when looking at the weather we have had lately.

Wind blew the rain through the window I had the exhaust fan in. Bummer!
