Skyward Sword Thread

Many new Wii games are more fun to play with a Wii Motion Plus and some require it. As for Skyward Sword, I have only seen others play it so far, but while my initial impressions based on the trailers were quite negative, I find myself liking the game now I have seen others play it and have experienced some of the story.

It's not Majora's Mask-level of adult focus, but I wouldn't call it childish and I could see myself play it :)

So I finished this game today and I have to say while it has some awesome moments, I'm a little disappointed overall.

The same problem that plagued Wind Waker and Twilight Princess rears its ugly head again... the whole experience feels very formulaic. And I don't mean following the Zelda formula. I love the Zelda formula and I always want more. But if you look at OoT and Majora's Mask, they had you doing a different thing before every dungeon. It was a very varied experience. But in the last three games they've had you repeat certain experiences over and over again, often in the form of fetch quests.

It's still a really good game, but until they realize this simple thing that made the 64 games so great, they won't make a 3D Zelda that tops them IMO.
