I got 300 hours out of oblivion. That is some 20 cents per hour. A movie costs some $5 per hour and often times they suck. So you want to wait a year and pay 2 cents per hour? Whatever works for you.

He is being thrifty and is willing to wait. I see no problem with that.

I literally have 4 or 5 copies of Diablo 2 around my house somewhere.
I always lose games and end up re-buying them... So, I'm going with Steam on this one.

In general, I get WAY more value out of my entertainment dollar with videogames vs most anything else out there.

Are we going to see you on a hoarder reality show?

My attitude is that if a game runs well on my system and it isn't a dog like RAGE, then I buy at or near launch......gone are the days of waiting months to save $10-$20, that's just silly.
These days, if I end up waiting too long, I simply never buy the game as something else has swamped it.

Honestly it's less to do with money, I have the money to buy me and you Skyrim many times over, it has more to do with me wanting to get the best experience possible, and that will be when I can buy the GOTY edition which includes all the DLC and by then all the bugs and shit will be patched out.

Bethesda games are NOTORIOUS for being buggy upon release, and why should I pay top dollar for a buggy game on release day? Just to have a game on release day? No, I reject that notion.

The real release day is when the GOTY edition comes out, by then, I can play a fully realized Skyrim with mods, hopefully some mods out there that de-consolize the game for us.

5 copies of diablo 2 isn't that bad.... my brother would run pindle bots with 5 or more simultaneously. If his account ever got locked he'd buy another key for cheap.
