Hi folks. I've got a friend who lives a pretty good distance away and we are staying in constant contact. I don't have a cellphone and my landline is pretty lousy quality, she only has a cell phone but lives in a building with a lot of metal in it and she gets bad static. As you can imagine, this gets a bit irritating when we can't hear each other. Yesterday I used skype and paid for minutes to call her cell phone, but she still said that she got static when listening to me. In a few weeks I'm going to set her up with skype on her laptop and we should be able to hear much better, but I am curious as to what I should get for her that could be considered excellent but still comfortable.

I use a good quality setup sound-wise but the headphones aren't too comfortable after a lengthy conversation, even with short hair. I would just try to google the most comfy usb headset for her and call it a day, but is that the way to go? Would it also be worthwhile to look for a soft and comfortable pair of headphones and a decent usb mic? I think the headset is the least complicated, so can anyone recommend one with a good microphone that won't hurt her head to wear? I haven't bothered with a usb headset since my old plantronics counterstrike pair quite a few years ago. Thanks in advance!
