All the articles I have read have pointed at a late Sept launch for the remainder of the desktop Skylake lineup, yet I have yet to see availability on any vendor websites. Anyone know what's going on?

Same here, I have not been able to find any new news on this.I really want to use the new I3 CPU for a build for my daughters Christmas present.

Its kind of strange that everything says September yet we are almost mid October and not a peep.

Amazon has the i5 6500, I picked one up a few weeks ago. I saw a few other non-K CPUs there, but I'm not so sure about i3's or any of the low power i5's.

Yeah I did see the higher i5's trickle out on Newegg a couple weeks ago, but the i3's and lower have been elusive. The i3-6320 is particularly interesting with it's 3.9GHz clock.

Is stock availability still an issue? Seriously? Why are these so popular when its not much of an improvement over 4790k?

People are talking about the non K SKUs...

I'd be down for an i3 I think.

Looks like they just started showing up today to some retailers:

http://www.ncixus.com/products/?usa...ku=116491&vpn=BX80662I36100&manufacture=Intel

A little expensive at some, but hopefully the price stabilizes around the 125.00 mark.

Lol the 6320 has an eta of 11/13/15 but lol at the price, 205.00 shipped. Got to love the amazon market place...

Good to see some of the smaller resellers have the CPUs, so at least some are out there. I figure once Newegg and Amazon have the CPUs the price will finally be at the correct MSRP. I plan to get one of the i3s just to make a lower power PC with.

3.9 ghz skylake i3 vs 3.2 ghz haswell i5 will be an interesting bench in games.

Looks like even the i3-6100 = i5-2500k...

Cant wait to see some more reviews. Looks like the 6100 may be the new budget gaming build king for a while. Only down side is looks like for now you have to go with a higher end motherboard(Z170) vs (H170) to run the faster ram. Hopefully they bring more ram support to the H170 chipset.

Yeah, looks pretty sweet. Seems the cache prefetch improvements combined with fast DDR4 memory erase all the previous weaknesses of the i3 versus i5.

In every single game the $120 i3 is NO SLOWER than 77% of the $250 i5.

Damn I just got parts to build an i5 6500 system on a H170 motherboard. Had no idea the RAM speed made such a big difference based on other reviews I read. Now I am sending this H170 board back to get a Z170 board and use the DDR4 2666 RAM I already have instead of being neutered by 2133 speeds on a H170 :(

where the heck is the 6320?
if nextwarehouse was advertising delivery by end of october, then surely there must be other US vendors with inventory by now...

MSI has 2 H170 boards that support higher clocked RAM

MSI H170A PC Mate
and
MSI H170 Gaming M3

Did they release a bios update or something that im not seeing because both of them are only listed as 2133 support:

http://us.msi.com/product/mb/H170-GAMING-M3.html#hero-specification
http://us.msi.com/product/mb/H170A-PC-MATE.html#hero-specification

Looks like newegg lists them with more support. Not sure which one is correct just yet. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130885

... Ok just read the Manual for the board and it only states 2133 support.

Yes the QVL shows support for memory at 2400
http://us.msi.com/support/mb/H170A-PC-MATE.html#support-mem

Clear as mud, I guess I have to agree that if you want 2666 memory it would be best to go z170.

Also a lot of H170 boards list support for XMP profiles, even though XMP profiles are very frequently well over 2133 on a given stick of RAM. The mud just keeps getting thicker...

Ordered a Gigabyte Z170 board, I am into my "budget" upgrade for a lot more than I was expecting now.
