I am really liking sketchup. I am using the demo right now. A couple of my friends and I really like Solidworks, and this program kind of reminds me of it.

Anyways, I saw that normally it is 495 bucks, but the educational version is 99 bucks.

I am 16 and want to major in some sort of computer related engineering. Do I qualfy for this?

Or do I have to be a teacher or in college?

here is the site...http://www.sketchup.com/educational.php

Thanks

The educational version of SketchUp can only be purchased by students and instructors currently enrolled in valid architectural or design course work....

To qualify for the educational price you must have an educational email address from an accredited institution (.edu) or a valid student ID with a picture and visible enrollment date.
Nope.

Also, the ed license is for one year only.
