I'm building an Intel Based Server for my dad's small business. The server will link two office locations and will have 8-10 people working on it at all times. The motherboard I'm using has 2 slot for DDR2 and 4 slots for DDR. Is it best to have 2 GB of the higher bandwidth DDR2, or 4 GB of the DDR memory?
 
It all depends on the applications being run on the server; if the applications being served can take advantage of it, go for more memory. Otherwise it's just a waste
