sis onboard video

the kid sister got a new chaintech 7VIF4 with onboard sis video.

while assembling the computer I managed to light the motherboard BOX on fire, it burned Really Well.

the driver CD was in the box and burned too.

I downloaded the 4inones and a couple other drivers, sound and network, and got everything up and loaded windows XPpro.

everything looks good except for the video.

no drivers are loaded, and the default microsoft drivers suxorz

I wrote to chaintech.

and googled for sis drivers and came up with nothing for the 7VIF4

heh, the only one of the drivers that they SAY they offer, that are actually THERE are for another chipset

same thing with the motherboard driver section, my {sisters} board is not offered. ????

I tried sis's website and came up empty.

any hints on where I could ASK ??

there HAVE to be helpful souls out there who have the CD and would send me the video drivers.

try Windows Update...It looks as if its just the Default Via Drivers...It doesnt appear to be SIS Graphics...

2. It appears that your motherboard doesn't have a SiS chipset:

It looks like you have a KM266 with S3 (the chipset) graphics.
