Is there any advantage going dual psu? I just got a lian li case that allows for 2 psu. I have a setup thats I dont currently have a single psu to support. So would 2x 550watts+ be better than a single 1000watts psu?

No, there is no advantage to using two PSUs instead of one, and it also introduces a few logistical issues like making sure you balance the load across both PSUs (if it's even possible with the particular hardware configuration you use).

wouldnt you have to rig a second power switch? i have same type of case with two spots just use the 120mm fan option instead. Unless you had watercooling in there id stick with 1 higher wattage psu. Will save you $$ in electric bill as well
