Hi guys first of all let give you info on my current system
Specs:
  • Q6600 2.4 overclocked to 3.8 voltage 1.416
  • 8 gigs of pc8500 DDR2
  • 6 x 1 tb sata drivers
  • 3 burners
  • 1 4850X2 2 gig + 1 4870 1 gig Tri-setup or whatever the hell people call it
  • 7.1 Omega sound card

Currently I'm only water cooling the processor using the following parts:
  • EK-RES400 Rev.2 Reservoir
  • Laing D5 Vario/Swiftech MCP655 Inline 12V DC Pump
  • Swiftech MCR320-Radiator
  • Swiftech waterblock (cant remember which version)

Here's a picture of my system so you can see how it's setup

Now my the problem is that is getting mighty hot in Southern California ( I'm about 50 minutes from downtown Los Angeles San Dimas area) & I would like to water cool the video cards for two reasons. First the fans are freaking loud is like listening to a F-16 taking off for hours at a time. And two as you can see the radiator is place right behind the pci-express slots, meaning all the heat from the video cards is getting dump right behind the radiator.

So my question is can I add 3 vga water blocks to my current loop & can my pump/radiator handle the extra heat? I already pick up 3 x Swiftech MCW80 Universal GPU Waterblock with a couple of sets of Enzotech BCC9 / BMR-C1L Low Profile Forged Copper BGA Ramsinks.

My other option was to add a second loop just for the processor alone using the following parts that I already have (except for the second radiator I still haven't bought it):
  • XSPC Delta V3 Universal CPU Waterblock
  • S&D: PRO-120 Radiator from d-tek (they're dirt cheap)
  • I can either pick up the D-TEK Bay-Reservoir or used my old Swiftech MCRES-MICRO Rev1
  • An old Eheim 1048 pump

I would really appreciate if someone can give me some ideas of what to do. I know the S&D PRO-120 radiator is a bit small but I just can't fit anything bigger inside the pc. There's enough room for both pumps and the PRO-120 radiator at the bottom but that's it. I'm not planning to overclock the video cards at all I'm just concern running 4 blocks might be too much for my system to handle.
Thank you

The MCP655 can easily handle 4 blocks, especially if they're not that restrictive. Most swiftech waterblocks are not very restrictive, as are their VGA blocks. The MCP655 should be just fine on its own.

You might want to put a larger radiator on the back of your computer (4x120) if you want to cool 3 VGA cards.

I would go with a dual pump or dual loop action for your setup. However, the MCR320 is able to keep my 2 overclocked 480's at 54C load (furmark). Your system looks to need maybe a little bit more heat dissipated than mine, don't know the exact wattage 3x4870's will output paired with a voltage modded Q6600 but I'd say that would be more than 2x480's. I would suggest putting the processor in a loop by itself you outline and keep the MCR320 for your trifire.
