single GPU render vs. multi GPU render

For the SLI users out there, what is really the difference in enabling mulit gpu rendering in your nvidia drivers over single gpu rendering. Does it make a difference if your not playing games?

I've also found at least one prog i know of so far that is not compatible with multi gpu render, actually, it works, just not very well, and that is limewire.

So i'm just wondering what benefit i'm getting by keeping it enabled...?

thanks

Eric

You get 30 to 85% more frames per second in your pr0n download status bar.

yeah multiGPU has no performance benefit in Windows apps.
