Since I have a Sata 500gb 16mb cache and a 120gb IDE hardrive is there anything I need to do with Raid? Anything to make it faster.
 
no, you dont raid diff models / sizes of harddrives unless your asking for trouble.

read the raid sticky to learn about RAID and what it does / is for.
 
I moved my OS over to SATA drive there isn't any difference at all. I don't get all the hype over 8mb cache to 16mb cache to ide or SATA at all the speeds are the same. : / If it's just a notice over benchmarks it's pretty useless to go spend $50 more for a few points on a benchmark.

My 320gb IDE cost more than it's SATA equivalent.
