Hello all,

Quick question, I am adding 3 new hard drives to my comp (Vista 64)... this may sound simple but can I begin formatting 2 or 3 of them at the same time or can I only format one disk at a time.

Just concerned I may end up with botchy formatting if I try more than one at a time.

Thanks!

It takes only a few seconds to format one, so just wait...

You can format more than one at a time. Don;t bother with long formats, they are a waste of time do the quick formats.

I try to limit stray processes when I'm doing low-level stuff. It takes no time at all to do a QF, why not do them in series FTHOI, even if it's not required?

QF, huh?... I was doing the... complete? format. Figured it was necessary for a new disk but if it isn't, it would DEFINATELY be quicker doing a QF.

"Full" format takes for-fricking-ever. I only use it if I'm trying to salvage a drive with fairly specific problems. I've yet to have it bite me in many, many years with computers.

Thanks for the info! I will try a quick format when this other one completes.
