I have been using my old 14" Asus laptop with a Geforce 120M for the last year and I wanted to hold out till Bulldozer came out but I am about to lose my mind!

So I decided to (burn my lifesavings) pull the trigger now with Sandy, here is the build I am going for. 3x1 Portrait Eyefinity build (Inspired by Vega).

Getting the UD7 for future 3x CF with another 6970 a year down the road "IF" it is needed.

Do you guys see anything out of place in my build? Very open to recomendatilons. I do not want to go water cooling and I am aiming for a quiet big air setup.

Also cannot afford more than 6 large :~(

Unless I've missed something, I hear those 69xx do not crossfire well. (driver issues?)
If it really is life savings sort of thing, the dual 120gb ssd's seem like overkill. game load times really that much of a bother? I am jealous though so if you have the cash, and desire, go for it.

I thought that CF scalling for the 69xx series was spot on? Accordingto [H] review?

Well the dual SSD is for two reasons, I want 200gb plus for my games drive. So in that respec I figured I might as well pay a bit of a premium for 2 seperate drives. I also have a 4+ TB NAS on my home network so I do not need storage on my machine.

Also I was unsure of the 850w to be enough to support room for OC on CPU/GPU. Anyone have experience on the topic?

The cheapest I was able to find new was 1200 :(

Do you have a better deal than that? Ordering from the US is no problems (I have a family member that can order for me from FL).

Yeah, I was thinking for a while to go with N with two 580s.

But I am not interested in 3D at all(and there is no 30" that supports it or IPS/VA panels. I cannot stand TN panels 120hz or not). It would have been nice for folding but the price premium($300) and considering I will be gaming at 4800x2560 I will need that 2GB Vram.
 
Ditch that Patriot RAM: It's stupidly overpriced considering that you can get more RAM for $25 less:
$180 - 2 x G.Skill Ripjaws F3-10666CL9D-8GBRL 2 x 4GB DDR3 1333 RAM

That's 16GB of RAM for $25 less thats also of lower voltage which means lesser strain on the CPU.

Ditch those SSDs as well and go with these slightly faster and better SSDs instead:
$135 - Crucial RealSSD C300 CTFDDAC064MAG-1G1 2.5" 64GB SSD
$230 - OCZ Vertex 2 OCZSSD2-2VTXE120G 2.5" 120GB SSD

For HD 6970 Crossfire plus heavy overclocking, I would recommend a 1000W PSU at the very least. Something like this:
$220 - Corsair 1000HX Modular PSU

Thanks for the advice Dan, much apreciated. Especially the RAM not very savvy on those voltage issues!

As for the PSU I don't mind forking a bit more if it means efficiency, do they even make 80 Gold 1000Ws?

Edit: Z series found them, thanks for pointing me to the right amounts of W I never have owned a setup that is this power hungry.
