Will a waterpump work if it is layed sideways? I know it shouldnt matter too much when it comes to a physics stand point, but does anyone have an idea? Im thinking of getting the small Switftech pump thats is fairly flat, but want to mount it near the mother board tray, this would put it in a vertical position rather than a horizontal... will there be any adverse effects?

It will be fine in any orientation except upside down. Upside down, you'll have to make sure the pump is primed before starting.
