OK so i hear alot about this and that about the physx processor

so theres not alot of games that support it

so if i play a game that doesnt support it, will it crash or something?

Or does it just not do anything to the graphics or whatever

just wondering
 
A physics accelerator does not render graphics so it has no effect on rendering. It does physics calculations. Therefore a game not utilizing it will simply not utilize it. Having it installed will do nothing harmful to a game not using it, it will just sit there in your PC dormant until something utilizes it. There is only 1 game out right now using Ageia's PPU, GRAW, and that is not a really good example of the power that lies in the beast. There is a tech demo/game out called Cellfactor which gives a better representation of what will be possible with the PPU. We are severely software limited right now in regards to physics acceleration.
 
seems like a way for you to waste another $500. Il stuck with just a GPU for now. Please.

psysics Calculations arent even that intesne, why you may ask, every thing can pre pre-calculated and hashed.,
 
I've acutally had one in the sig rig (actually now I've got a 7950, need to update) and my system has been perfectly stable, games and all. Of course the only thing that I use the the Physx card for is Cell Factor. Not really a good investment now, to be honest, unless you really are into Cell Factor, its not with the $260 or so that its going for simply because there's not enough to do with it. I just wanted one to bad.
