Simple PDF editor

I'm looking for some simple freeware for PDF editing e.g. changing the layout and removing pages etc.
I would greatly appreciate it if somebody could point me in the right direction if they know of any good freeware for this as i don't really want to go and rummage through the thousands that are out there to find a good one.

A free one that I tried using for a bit was A-PDF, I think the free is a demo... but you can get a bit of functionality out of it. There's several different version of it, PDF Splitter, PDF Merger... so forth.
