simple overclocking not so simple

i have a barton 2500+. it is a very easy overclock. but it never seems to work for me. i bump up the fsb to 200, and the voltage as high as 1.775, but during gaming it will crash. i know i have adaqeute cooling, because i have a desk fan about the size of a tire blowing air in my case. as i type this, at stock, my temp is 28C.

what could be the problem?
 
Memory, motherboard or powersupply are the usual culprits

Make sure your AMD motherboard is an Nforce 2 400 they are the only ones rated to a 200mhz FSB with a PCI/AGP lock(via kt600 will do 200mhz but no lock). If your board isnt an Nforce 2 400 it may still work but not gauranteed

Is your memory PC2100/2700/3200?
if its 2700 or less you may have to use a memory divider (5:4, 3:2, etc) This will allow your ram to run at a slower speed than your FSB.

powersupply
Just make sure its a decent powersupply, as OC'd amd xps get a little power hungry
 
You need more juice. My needed 1.8 ~ 1.85 to get up to 3200 speeds. If your sig is right, then you board and ram should be fine.
