I just bought a basic Logitech Headset mic I've been having minor volume issues, sometimes people vent say it's low on vent and sometimes say it's fine.

My question is does the volume knob located on the cord also raise your voice volume ect microphone and raise your voice that people hear? or does it only control your personal headset speakers volume?
