NO!!! Not THAT kind of size comparison...you dirty minded little boys....


...for those that are looking to go widescreen....comparison between a 21" 1680x1050 display and a 19" 1440x900 display. Sorry for the weird pics, I have not figured out yet how to take good pics of the actual screen when it is on....

hey thats pretty cool, now if only you had a 24" to throw in there. I'm trying to decide between 20/22/24 myself...
 
wow i saw a 19 inch widescreen @ a store today and thought it looked so cool and big. now that i see the difference its making me question even bothering with the 19 incher

i h8 u now lol

22 seems pretty pointless to me...especially since they are all TN panels. If I were you I would look at getting a quality 20.1" widescreen or one of the 24"'s.
 
I can say, the S-PVA panels like my 21", give VERY much better black levels than the TN panels (my 19").

But both are plenty fast with no ghosting.....only in games like Doom2 do you notice the black levels so much.

I figured out a cool trick for this by accident, I see you are a proper photographer (hense the SLR) so you might appreciate this. To get the lighting nicer generally set up the camera on a tripod with a longer exposure and no flash, ok that's not the cool bit, hang on... use a circular polarizering filter to dim the brightness of the LCD screens so it matches the surounding light levels. You'll find that you can completey black out the light from an LCD with the the C-PL filter by turning it so you have complete control to improve the dynamic range to whatever you like =).
