OK I need the [H]ard Community to help me on this one I have seen the ft02 case and I like it but here is the catch I have a current mobo setup to transfer and I want to know will the black interior or the red do me best I will be putting the ATI and AMD logos on the window and building an AMD/ATI based/themed rig kinda like the Cooler-Master HAF 932 AMD edition, But I dont want LED's I want this professional and clean aesthetically (visually) pleasing and balanced.

Well I know there are people looking at this and while I am at it I might as well go ahead and do this any and all suggestions for cable management sleeving colors new heatsink and a brushed 5.25inch faceplate that will match would be nice I want to get a faceplate that I can put a blu ray player behind and will look decent as a BD drive takes away from the brushed clean look and I don't like this

I will be doing away with all blue LED's including the fan in my ocz gameXtreme Will be replacing them with modded cooler master r4 fans with black housings and red blades. I am going to be buying a ATI Radeon HD-5770 soon as well. i like the red int. but with me having a blue/black mobo is this possible?? to pull off and make it look good.I will also be buying Corsair Dominator GT ddr3 dual channel mem for the rig I am trying to figure out if a black interior or red would look best. I want it to be this clean

this is how i plan to do my fans and in the back for cable management i will replace the psu fan with a non LED red modded fan as well i can do the cable management so dont worry about that and remember the ram is red colored in case you are wondering

Either way, this is going to be beautiful. I love that white Cosmos S. White looks amazing to me.

Anyway, I think if you go black, the eye will be drawn to the components, If you go red, it will be more striking, but less emphasis on other colors.

Since you are going through the trouble with the modified fans, I would go black.

Have you considered a new mobo to match your theme?
 
yes but i cant seem to find a full atx mobo with a red and black theme that will 100percent sure support core unlocking

and yes i am not sure who did that particular comsmos s but man is it beautiful really sets the standard for none murdermod pc's i think it is its own murdermod really

A few of the red FT02 owners have said the interior red paint is real cheap and chips easily...just something to keep in mind. You'd have to dig through the last few pages of that particular thread but I know I've read it in there (as an owner of the case and a follower of the thread). I remember WorldExclusive even responding and talking about the PC-P50R internal paint being so durable and beautiful, so if you're dead set on internal red paint, unless you want to buy a black FT02, strip it and get it powdercoated or paint it yourself, you may want to opt for the PC-P50R instead.

Use the black.
MurderMod all the cables in black. Don't use colored heatshrink, it looks like shit.
use an EVGA Classified MB(red and black).
take off the piece that holds the optical drives and have it powder coated red.
watercool the thing and use nickle plated Heatkillers and Bitspower nickle plated chipset coolers.
Won't be cheap.
 
No one has mentioned the upgraded fans that comes with the red edition which are $25 each or $75 total. The red edition costs $260 with the fans and red interior for only $20 more than the black edition. The black edition with the upgraded fans will cost you $315, then you have to mod it which is more $$$. The red edition is already modded for you, just be gentle. Things that are pricey require a bit more care. TBH, I never came across a factory painted or powder coated case that didn't chip when screws are tightly mounted into a case. When loosing the screws, the paint seems to come off along with the screws. If you have a lot of crap in your case or just throw parts inside, you will see more wear and tear than some one who is a minimalist and takes their time.

Well here is the deal i have to stick with the hardware i have right now i cant afford to go i7 yet i want the best case that would look good with my current hardware and the XFX HD-5770 I am looking to get a corsair hx modular psu and and some cable extensions as i dont want the gpu power run right in front of everything.
also i dont plan to keep the original fans i want to replace them with cooler master r4's or some form of 140 fan i dont like the forever huge 180's i would like to get a thermalright true black as well if i go with the black interior i will sleeve the cables red and black (maybe)
had an idea of modding the 5770 instead of being red to be white sleeve the cables white and thee fans (blades only) but then what would be the point of it being amd so i have to stick with the ATI colors

Why would you want to remove the 180mm fans? That's one of the main features/highlights of the case!

Meh on the pc-p50r. Maybe it's the different lighting where I live (but I even took the case to my cousin's house), and the pc-p50r interior looks more maroon than red. Honestly, that case is a piece of shit. I wasn't impressed by it at all.
 
dont give a hoot about the pc-p50r just trying t say i am going to try and go with the red and black ati amd look as for the 180's man damn they are huge i may keep them but want a way to hide them sorta i hate having 3 frigin black things in the bottom of the case i think the fans and the grills are tacky lookin i dont like seeing a whole lot of fans that is why i am looking at this case to begin with i am tired of the (for example) cosmose s with 3120in top 3120's in fron 120 in back, in bottom and the 230 in the side i get tired of looking at a bunch of fans i want it clean like

if you are gonna get rid of the 180mm fans, don't buy the case. They don't look bad at all. They look cool.

You can buy a low end Lian Li case if you don't want a bunch of visible fans.
 
lol but i dont want a lian li case well i take that back i find my self becoming fond of the pc-7 chassis shame it grows on me but its nice the ft02 is what im looking for i may take a piece of steal or aluminum and cut it to place across the entire bottom of the chassis should help hide the fans but will be very ventilated.

OFF TOPIC anyone know where to get a standard 5.25inch bluray drive in white found the pioneer one but dont want to pay 400 for it just a simple white buy ray drive will do cant be a slimline

Agreed, with the front door on the case, all you see is the fan grill.
Those fans move a shit ton of air and you can't even hear them on high.
Removing the stock to replace with some other 180mm fan would be plausible, but something smaller would not only be dumb, but create another project in modding a bottom fan shroud.:eek:
 
yeas i have come to realize this and what i have decided is as follows i will build new fan grills to specks i like as i hate the plastic silverstone grills and i will build a fan shroud so the bottom will be uniform but for 3 big grills or holes if i dare,

Tony Ou from SS actually said the grills help direct the airflow on the original 180mm fans, the AP's don't need the grills though. If you don't like the grills that badly I suggest you get the red interior (since that model comes with the AP fans) or buy AP fans to replace the regular fans in the black interior standard model.
 
well i don't mind it i just don't like looking at such big fans all the time but i think i have a way to fix this so thanks anyways

hahaha yeah i got a shop shouldn't be hard, draw it plasma cut it and file her down via air dremel or something and viola i though about a huge piece of modder's mesh but that messes with the airflow direction to much.
