I had a question over cooling.

I am planning to get this case very soon and I dont plan to water cool right now, Maybe later on.

My concerns are will this case do a good job as far as air cooling or is it more geared towards WC/LC? Almost every review site I've seen, Uses water cooling, Except for Silentpcreview and they say its not that good on cooling and has issues with the mobo tray being on a track and could rattle somewhat and the side mesh uses bent metal tabs and could vibrate as well.

Note: I dont plan nor wish to get any Antec case.
 
It does good on air-cooling, just don't expect to toss in a overclocked quad core, dual 8800 ultras, and a stack of drives and cards without it getting hot... because it will.

It's not the greatest in terms of cooling. Yes the tray IMO is fairly useless and can rattle if transported or if you have some vibrating equipment in the case. I don't know about the mesh, never heard of that rattling.
 
I dont really plan to OC or SLI anytime soon and just have 1 HD and burner, Nor do I plan to move it.

So if I didnt move it or anything, Would the tray work good as far as not rattling?

My other choice as far as cases go is the Lian Li PC-V2000Plus II, Which I like alot.
 
I think the clown who wrote that SPCR review on the TJ07 would be best described as some noob living in an earthquake zone. Yeah, the MB tray could rattle, but it doesnt, and no computer parts vibrate enough to make that happen. Seems the guy was just looking for something to pick apart.

That said, if youre not thinking of WC or lots of computer parts, maybe the TJ07 might be a bit overkill. Maybe some mid-size case? Unless you anticipate going nuts with hot-rodding your computer system (been known to happen :p) and are trying to future-proof your case selection. :D
 
According to an email I got from Performance-PCS, I was told that the TJ07 did have some issues at one time, But they believe they were corrected in another revision of the case.

As for a mid-tower, Nah, I dont wanna go that route. Yeah I may decide to WC down the road (The Swiftech Apex H2O Ultra is what I've been looking at personally), So I wanna get a nice size case for that. Besides I think its best to have the room to spare, Rather than no room to breath, But thats just MO.

Its a hard decision between the Lian Li PC-V2000Plus II and the TJ07, But I'm liking the TJ07 more and more :confused:

I have 11 fans running in my TJ07. Not a good air cooling case. You are better off getting a better air cooling for half the price. I bought this case because I'm planning to water cool down the road. It's a great case for modding. I mean it's a decent air cooler but you'll have to play around with adding more fans and placing it that will give you a nice air flow.

I LOVE Silverstone and Lian Li cases - only ones I get really. Right now my two PCs are housed in a tj07 and LL a05. If I were to buy a large case today, it would be the Tagan Black Pearl, no doubt. It is made by LIan Li, but is a Tagan rebadge.

It is a really beautiful and functional case. Outside of modding, you can easily remove the front HD cage and put a single 120 rad up front and a dual 80mm rad in back above the psu area. But the case is so large that it reeks of a double or triple 120. Just my 2 cents, but you may want to consider this case and it comes stock with a windowed side panel.

Hope I made the decision harder.
 
I like the Tagan case myself, But I cant stand that front lights on it w/ that A logo.

What about the PC7B, or PC65? The A16 and A05 too.

Personally, if I had only one optical/HDD/vid card without any plans to OC or SLI (theoretical situation~), I'd grab the PC7B. Cost effective, 120mm fans, Lian Li. I feel its overkill with a case over $200. And with 4 optical bays... you can ghetto 3 of them to have a 120mm upper intake, or grab a Kama Bay (although ghetto'ing it would make you lose cable management space...)
