Does anyone know if the cables from the Silver series will work with the Gold/Gold Evolution series?
I have some cables from a Silver series that are sleeved which I would like to reuse.

And is there really much difference between them that makes the Gold Evolution worth ~$40 more? Thanks!

You can reuse those cables with the Gold/Gold Evolution series without any problems. They will even work with the upcoming Zeus 1350W or the recently launched SFX ST45SF-G PSU!

The Gold Evolution is replacing the original Gold models so the larger price difference is the result of discounts made on the older model.

Ha, never realize this since most PSU manufacturers write this way. Would "Zero Load Protection" be better? :D
