The crew at DreamWare Computers had a lot of nice things to say about the Silverstone FT03-MINI ITX case. If you are in the market for a stylish Mini-ITX case, this will no doubt be of interest to you.

There's a decent selection of ITX cases on the market thanks in part to the growing popularity of this small form factor. To kick off some upcoming ITX case reviews I'll be starting by looking at the Silverstone FT03-MINI along with Silverstone's ST45SF SFX power supply. You might recognize the FT03-MINI because it's merely a shunken version of the FT03 which I've reviewed in the past.

Thanks for the link. A mini-ITX system seems incredibly appealing to me after years of large mid-tower systems. My current machine has only a video card and Intel NIC installed - I use a Cosair USB headset for audio. The Asus mini-ITX mobo the author of the article mentions has an Intel NIC onboard, so it would have all the expansion I need.

I did download the FT03-Mini manual from the Silverstone site and it actually recommends running an all-in-one liquid cooler to deal with potential cooler clearance issues. They also recommend a video card with a reference cooler, ie, squirrel-cage blower exhausting out the rear. So I suppose putting together is system like this does require more planning than I had thought.
 
The ASUS P8Z77-I Deluxe is a beast of a board, and it does indeed have an Intel NIC (82579V PHY).
