Silly question - swapping vid cards

hey Gang,

since the "Search" function is down, maybe someone can give me a quick answer to this.

I'm replacing my nVidia ti4600 card with a 5700 Ultra.

Since I'm running the latest drivers, is the swapout as simple as just replacing the cards?

Or, should I uninstall then install the drivers, etc.

Thanks in advance!

I usually just uninstall the drivers, shut down, then switch cards and install new drivers. If I am lazy or forget, I uninstall the old drivers after installing the new ones. Either way, I haven't seen any problems. One time I even left both drivers installed since I was swapping video cards a lot.

EDIT: Since both cards are nvidia, I don't think you will have a problem with just switching the cards since they both use the same driver. I could be wrong, if so just flame me :)
