Silent Storm freezes card

I have an Ati 9800 AIW pro and whenever i play Silent Storm the screen goes blank ("Energy Saving Mode") and the sound loops... It happens every time. the same problem was happeneing with Call of Duty but the new Catalysts fixed that. Does anyone know what could be causing this problem? My comp's specs are:

Mobo: Asus A7v266
Chipset: Ali Magik
OS: Win2k
VCard: Ati 9800 AIW pro
SCard: Soundblaster Live!
