silent hard drives

[himmy]

hello,

I am building a jukebox out of an older imac(G3 400DV).

Because this will be used with my stereo, I need it to be as silent as humanly possible.

I will need an ATA hard drive, what are the best ones for being silent?

Samsung harddrives are known to be quiet, and its 160GB models are one of the quietest one. its currently selling for $59.99 at newegg. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822152020 if u read all the customer reviews there, one thing you will find common and that is, how quite the harddrive operates.
