What's a good silent 80mm fan? I heard Nexus was the way to go..

Any thoughts?

I've used Vantec "ThermoFlow" exhaust fans and really like them. They have thermistors built in, and speed up as things heat up inside the case. Very quiet and very reliable.....

Here's a link to them. $7.50 from the egg....

as long as the price is <$15, it would be fine with me.
i figure they shouldn't cost more than 15.. but i could be wrong. :)

oh and no LED's... i like my room dark at night not like a rave party.

i will vouch for the 80mm enermaxes... thermaflows are good.. but enermax's are quieter and push more air

lol! get some liquid neon cold cathodes and some meteor lights.. and get yout rave on! :p

panaflo makes good fans that push a lot of air without making much noise. Check out the M1A . At 7v, you can't hear them at all.

 Are those CFM specs true for the SilenX fans true? If so set me up for a few of them. And btw does anyone know where I can get them in the UK?

go do some reading about silenx fans over at silentpcreview, all their stats are inflated and don't have any real data to back them up. i do own a 80mm "14db" silenx fan, and the 14db rating is very optimistic. it is very quiet (for the 80mm size atleast), but not 14db type of quiet. and i'm not even sure about the airflow it really pushes..
