Silent boost HSF for socket A

Looks pretty sweet, those 'lasagna' type fans used to be the shiznit back in the day =b

Yep, a few of my friends use'm. They're pretty quiet...21 dB if I recall correctly. I often suggest them for people going the old 2500+ -> 3200+ route, they usually can handle up to 1.80V.

I use the same model on my Athlon64, of course with a different clip, and it is tolerable at top speed, which is 2700RPM. I fold on my computer, so it's always at top speed, but before I started folding, it would go down to like 1600 or lower RPM and it was really quiet then. Much quieter than the stock Athlon64 HSF.

Its ok, but not THAT silent. My CPU temp after folding for 12 or so hours is 48C, with room temp appx 72 degrees. I lapped the heatsink, and used AS5. Fan runs 2750-2800 rpm.

It's probably one of the only things I'd buy that has a Thermaltake name stuck to it. Good copper design, and an 80mm Panaflo Medium ontop, so that's good.

I see I see.. do you guys think i should get it? Because i currently have the dragon orb 3 from thermaltake, and that thing sounds like a vacuum cleaner.. It's horrible. It's supposed to run at 31db but i think it's louder than that.

I'm looking to quiet my case a bit more.
