Okay, weird situation time.

I was using my Dell Inspiron E1505 while I had headphones plugged in, when my laptop fell off my bed and hit the floor. Since my computer practically fell on top of the headphone jack and connector, this caused two problems. First, any audio that is output from the headphone jack now only comes out of the left earphone (due to a new physical problem/bent pin/something inside the jack itself), and second, even when I have nothing plugged in to the line out/headphone jack, my computer won't output any audio through the internal speakers, since it's apparently registering that something is plugged in (again, due to a physical problem inside the jack).

I decided to do some registry digging, which proved very useful: I found entries in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Sigmatel\GlobalState\STSysTray\1.0 labeled JackDeviceType, JackImpedance, JackPresence, and JackVerify, along with the information that the two jacks that are active on the system are JackDeviceType10 and JackDeviceTyped. Unfortunately, changing the values of these entries to ones that I thought would do what I was looking for didn't work. For example, setting JackPresence10 and JackPresenceD to 0 did nothing. It's extremely frustrating- I found where I need to work to get my sound back, but it's not working. I was hoping to either find a way to turn my line in/mic jack into a line out, or to make the system think there was no line out jack, thereby allowing me to use my internal speakers properly, but I've been unsuccessful so far.

I tried contacting Sigmatel support, but they said they can't help me, since their "OEM partners requested that all technical support for their models be handled by the OEMs directly". My Dell warranty's up, too, so I'm turning to you guys to see if you have any ideas.

sorry i'm not able to help you with the reg-settings.

but it looks like that the solder joints of the connector where damaged due to the fall.
maybe you could find a person skilled in electronics who is able to re-solder the connections or replace the whole connector if needed.
