So basically yesterday I was loosing some time and tried to put togheter and CPU\MOBO\RAM combo from Newegg and from Bigfoot Computers\Pccanada (two stores in Canada), since I study in Canada but have a house here in Miami.

Well using a MSI K8N Neo and an Athlon 64 3000+ with some XMS Pro 1GB, I got around

550$ US, using Newegg

1050$ CAN using Canadian stores.

The difference in prices is HUGE! I mean over 300$ US.

Unbelieveble!

So now I'm thinking about ordering the components here in Florida and bring them with me up in Canada. The only problem is that I'm worried about the warranty and how to return the stuff from up there.

Suggestions from you guys up in Canada?

The only problem I see is if you want a replacement, the order would be shipped to you place in Miami. You could always get a refund if something went wrong. If you want to risk it I say go ahead and order from Newegg.

My vote would be to have the parts shipped to Canada, build the computer there, and bring it back with you over the border.

well I'm in Florida and the computer is up in Canada so I dont have any way to try out the components till I get up there in Canada.
Shipping the parts to Canada is very expensive. For example, ZipZoomFly wants 81.00 $ US to ship the parts to Toronto!

:(

Build your rig while in Miami and bring it with you if you can spare the room. If not, you could always ship the parts up to your new place. Even if it does cost $81, you'd still be saving $200 over the Canadian pricetag.

Thats true........

I might consider that.

I'll try with ZipZoomFly to build a combo and see how much will be shipping on it.
