Sigh Linksys wifi problems

Ok i set it up, got it working for my laptop, desktop wont work

it wont pull a default gateway, it reads my connection but asks for a WEP

i have no clue how to find that or get it, im on phone with Linksys about to talk to some indian who can barely speak english, wow his name is bob from india!!!

and roadrunner wont help mebecause i didnt buy my router from them, go figure ass hats

anyone able to help me?

and how do i secure my network for just these 2 computers?

ok i got it fixed through their Customer service, not bad for outsourceing, anyhoo, i need to update the firmware aparently

is there a way to make my signal more powerfull? in the router options?

its a WRT54G router, non speedboost or is there any options i should turn on or off to make a better connection?
