Yeah so I'm not super smart about computers, but I'm trying to learn. Anyways, I had this problem this morning with my computer. I turned it on and then it went *beep beep beep* *beep beep* and a few more beeps. It normally only has 2 when starting up. The monitor doesn't have a thing but the self test on it. Do you guys have any idea of what it could be?

(note: this kid an an athlon-xp 2400+, a ti4200, and 512mb of ram. i do not know what else)

that said, beeping is normally the motherboard telling you that something is wrong. without knowing the board and the beeping sequence, i do not know what is wrong.

This isn't the first time it has happened. In the past couple days it happened and I shut it off, unplugged it, plugged it back in, and it worked again. But then it did it again and I did the same thing. This morning though, it didn't work at all.

[EDIT]-I'm at school right now so I can't check my specs and stuff. But like (cf)eclipse said...I have an AMD Athlon XP 2400+ ~2ghz, Geforce4 ti 4200 128mb, 512MB RAM, Creative sound blaster PCI. I don't know what the mobo is, but I'll check when I get home.
