i've been researching for my first computer build for a long time, and just this week i've noticed the shuttles.

i guess my main question is...cooling.

i don't plan to upgrade my system so it shouldn't really matter if i get a mid server case or a shuttle...but i am really worried about cooling on that little box.

i am planning to get shuttle new release (coming soon) the:
Shuttle's XPC SN25P

i guess i would get the box if i confirm that the cooling is ok. i am gonna use this machine for intense gaming ( 5-10 hours plus, can the shuttle handle the heat)?

also, i will be downloading and running the machine as a server, so i will have to leave it on for like 2-4 days at a time.

only question is...will shuttle be able to handle the heat without killing all my hardware?

it not so many words, yes shuttles are great. And that shuttle should do just fine for what you described.

are there any other small form factor barebones that provide better cooling setups then the shuttles?

If you aren't overclocking, then that Shuttle could be a 24/7 box with any components you throw at it and operate just fine.

imo, the shuttle ICE technology is MUCH better cooling than stock heasinks for amd/intel, i even managed a small overclock on my shuttle without barely any raise in temps.

that is true, but if i were to build the system in a midtower, there is no way hosai i am gonna use stock heatsink/fan =P

anyways, so is shuttle like the best with sff? any better manufactuers with better cooling?

Why not check out the SFF forumn here ?

Lot of users there can answer all your questions with first hand knowledge.
