First off, I'm new here so I'd like to say hello, second, could use some help/input if possible. The problem I'm having is I've been attempting to put a Shuttlebox together, it's powering up but the machine is not posting.
I'm attempting to use the Shuttle SN85G4 with an AMD Athlon FX 3400+, using OCZ Enhanced Latency Series Dual Channel ECC Registered DDR3200, and I've tried two different video cards (nVidia Ti4600 and a ATI Radeon 9800XT) for testing purposes.
I've tried powering the system on with just the vid card and keyboard attached, think thats as minimal as I can get on a shuttle, and machine is still not posting. The board is getting power, HD spins up, fans getpower, led light etc etc, but doesn't go any further than that. I've tested both vid cards, and the memory in my main computer and they work just fine. I've tried the normal stuff like clearing the CMOS with the jumper, checking all other jumper settings, etc etc. The only thing I can think of is that I have a dead processor or a faulty board in the shuttle.
I'm almost sure this is the case but I RMA'd both the processor and the shuttle/mobo, got them back, tried everything again, and came up with the exact same results, machine still not posting. So...I guess what I'm asking is, did I miss anything, something I overlooked, any suggestions? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
