Heyas,

My apologies for the vague thread name, but I wasn't sure what else to anme it lol. Well, I just built a Shuttle SK22G v2 for my girlfriend and it had to be the easiest install I have ever had. I mean seriously not a single glitch and wow it runs smooth! I think I may be sold on Shuttle now. I may even add the components I can from the rig below to one of their new barebones!

Any way just thought I'd share this! Has anyone else been suprised by a Shuttle?

:D

Sounds like a great experience. Would you care to enlighten us with a couple of pictures?

I built a Shuttle for a girl friend of mine. The build went very smooth and she loves it!

Yeah I am also impressed by the quality of shuttle products. They seem to work like advertised.

I really like my Shuttle too, it's a beast. The first SFF I've ever owned and the experience has definitely encouraged me to ensure that my next build will be a Shuttle one, too. Buying today I would be looking at the SD39P2, probably with an 8800 GTS and a quad-core C2D after the price drop next month.

I'm a fan of my SD32G2B that's for sure; sometimes wish I'd had gone for the SD37P2 but this is more than I'll need and for now and quite some time to come.

I'm building an SS51G for a friend right now; guy from work was throwing it out and I was like "hmm, can I take that instead?" and so now I have an almost full computer for my friend which is sweet! I also just set up his house with one of my extra wi-fi routers so he's got that now. He recently got into WoW using on of our other friends accounts to have his own character so ya know... he's gonna need his own rig.

If only they came with 3 slots, I would have been sold on Shuttle years ago... I heard they are having a bit of a slump selling their systems however. The good news is, it means they also have plans to sell their motherboards separately so you can upgrade an old system! About time!

Yeah, Shuttle was smart to finally sell the mobos so people can upgrade. They shouldhave done it sooner IMO but better late than never. :D

Sweet I didn't know you can upgrade the motherboards now. Thats great news as my SN21G5 is getting slow. I would be sweet to get a C2D in there if I ever need it.

Yeah, I'm optimistic for the Shuttle mobos.

I've always far-and-away prefered the Shuttle G5 for ideal system size. Only real complaints were that:
- You can't plug the front panel audio ports into anything but the mobo
- Somewhat limiting PSU

With the possibility of upgrading the case...well. I don't want to get my hopes up too much, but...it could be VERY cool. There just aren't any other options out there for compelling gaming systems this small. Not without going straight-out notebook PC, with all the associated headaches (and locked-in hardware limitations) that accompany that decision.
