Just bought one of these today along with a 2GB stick of RAM:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16856101079

Its going to be used with a 200GB Seagate 7200rpm laptop drive that I pulled out of my Gateway. Basically going to be used as a NAS. Anyone buy one and have some thoughts? I'm fairly excited about this build as it's soooo small.

I'll post pics when I get the build going :)

EDIT: May just toss the 320GB that is in my Gateway currently into it....tough decision...

nice didnt know the dual core version of this shuttle was out

dont forget about posting pics! i really wanna see this

Doesn't look small... just seems like an eeebox but a lot bigger.

Probably the size of the eeebox but taller to allow room for an internal slim DVD drive. We shall see though. Should be getting it by the middle of the week. Kind of unsure about the OS to install on it currently. Thinking about Linux but I'd like to use Orb to stream media to my Treo when I want to. So I need Windows for that. Might be able to get a Server 2008 iso from one of my coworkers thru MSDNAA...hmmm :)

Here is a preview pic...will be setting this thing up tomorrow when I have more time (and will have more pics). One of my coworkers gave me a Windows Server 2008 Standard license in exchange for a Windows 7 beta disc and some frozen yogurt lol. MSDNAA is sooooo nice to have access to thru someone....anyway....

Plans are still for media and a print server so I can get this printer off my desk. Don't know what else I'll do with it yet, any ideas? Btw the router sitting on top is a Rosewill RNX-N4PS...cheapo Wireless-N router with MIMO and really works great so far. Only thing its missing is Gigabit ethernet which I didn't notice until I actually got the router...somewhat of a disappointment but it's ok.
