Shuttle-type case with USB3.0.. that can take a 5870?

Is this possible? I'd like to move the components I have below (possibly sans PSU and motherboard of course) into a Shuttle style case. I believe those use custom motherboards and PSUs.. and I can't imagine the PSU can push a 5870?

Are there any cases like a Shuttle, that CAN fit a 5870? There was one years ago when I had a super lanboy that was a cube shape, and fit full ATX PSU and a full ATX motherboard but I can't remember it for the life of me.. and it wasn't a silverstone.. it had a handle, and multiple colored grills for it.

Anyway I'm looking at removing optical drives from my PC entirely, and also HDDs from my system entirely. When USB 3.0 devices are here, I'm going to pickup an external USB3 DVD burner, and the new Vantec USB3 external enclosure for my TB drive.
So I thought, why not make the move to a smaller, lighter case while I'm at it? I'm all SSD now, and detest bluray and other shiny discs (I'm all streaming).
Something I could unplug and take with me a little easier..

Any suggestions?

Thermaltake Lanbox is what you're thinking of.

There may be a shuttle that can fit it. they do have a line of slightly larger cases.

Also, you're adopting USB3.0 too early -.-

Hmm no it's not the Lanbox. USB3.0 too early? Nah, I just figure if I'm leaving optical drives and hdds to the past, I might as well do this all at the same time.

eSATA has external HDDs covered just fine, and USB 2.0 is plenty fast for an external DVD burner, so there's really no reason to worry over USB 3.0 support at this point in time.

Pick up a smaller full ATX case -- Shuttle type setups just aren't worth the trouble for the reasons you've already mentioned. I'd suggest the Lian Li A05-B or similar. Maybe the Antec 300, since I see you already have a 900.

The SXXXH7s will fit 5870s. My SG45H7 fits the 5850 with a couple of inches to spare. PSU runs fine with a mildly OC'd Q9550 and the parts I list below. Pulls less than 250W at full load.

Also the H7 cases are appreciably smaller than the P2 cases.

The new Shuttle SG41J1, SH55J2, and SX58J3 will accept mini-ITX motherboards and have dimensions very close to the H7.. but not sure if you can purchase the cases by themselves.

There's no way my next case wont' have USB3.. it's the future, and I want to be with that. eSata is something I want to be able to forget about too. I want 1 interface for everything I use.. USB3. Besides, its very fast, and backwards compatible.

I was thinking of the Qpack..

meh, I like the new Thermaltakes at this point. Qpack was pretty cool years ago. I'd take a hard look at the Antec Aria.. once they update all these cases with usb3
