had this thing for a while and now its without a CPU, i have a 2.6C and i know that its not supported by the shuttle board, but does anyone know if it'll run and what the highest fsb the board takes?
 
hmm, I have to jump in the way back machine.

I remember I had an SS51g with a 2.4b overclocked to 2700.
So I had the FSB to 150.

Anything more than that and the machine would crap because the PCI divider was not locked.

So you should be able to get the 2.6c running at 1950 or so. Don't think HT will be enabled though.

Mine doesnt seem to even like 150, may have to tear into the family PC.
 
OMG! At 1.3ghz the 2.6C was just too slow, 3 hours into installing XP i gave up, dug out my old 2.5B from the RDRAM days. Never really OCed well then, but on this board its at almost 2.9ghz.

Cant believe how slow that 2.6C was though.
