I am making an SS51G for my girlfirend and I am wondering if a Celeron D processor would fit in it? Its not on the shuttle list of supported processors for this older model but the socket and fsb are right.

The SS51G would work with an 800 FSB p4 even though it doesnt support it? (I have one of those lying around)

No it won't work. You'll need to get either a P4 Northwood chip or a Northwood based Celery (identifiable by it's 128K of cache versus 256K of the newer Celeron 'D's)
