Shuttle SN95G5 V2 HDD issue

My HDD is recognised as "removable" that is it could be "ejected" via is "safely remove hardware".

While it is not a big issue, there is a chance that the C drive could be accidentally "ejected" when there are other "real" removable drives attached to the USB port.

I am running Windows SP2, latest BIOS, everything patched up etc.

please help!
 
if its a SATA drive thats normal. you can disconnect a SATA drive while the comp is on with that feature.
 
yes, it is a SATA drive. But my other computer (non-shuttle) has SATA and it does not have the same problem.

Is there a setting in windows that disables removing SATA drive? or is this common with all Nforce-3 motherboards?
 
I am pretty sure that only happened to me if I used the Nvidia IDE drivers. I quickly removed them when I did a bench, and realized my drives were maxing out at like 10 mbps. Other people have had this issue. Not sure if they fixed it or not, but with my SN95G5 version 1, I just use windows drivers for IDE, and they work nicely.
