So finally a Nforce 3 250 A64 Shuttle is out!

Looks like they upgraded the ICE setup to feature a 92mm fan.

I am waiting to get one as soon as I confirm that it hs PCI/AGP locks.
The 250 supports it, so I really hope Shuttle didn't screw us and not include a setting in their BIOS :rolleyes:

Wadda you all think? This could be the budget A64 SFF overclocker
 
hmmm ...interesting they changed from ICE. upgraded? jury is out still there. looks good but SFF's and OC'ing really shouldn't be in the same sentence ...but g'luk with it
 
I wouldn't go for it, it's a socket 754 which means it doesn't support dual channel ram, the 939's support dual channel

i am sure u wont even notice it in real life performance only in benchmarks
 
i got mine buzzing right here next to me. was my first shuttle build. and what an experiance that was, lol.

i have had 0 problems with anything, though it took me a bit to figure out the fan speed controls in BIOS, that 92mm fan can howl at full tilt.

Im running an A-64-3200+, Radeon 9800pro, 1 gig RAM, 1 WD Raptor, 1 Seagate 7200. no problems at all.

temps are a little high, but thats to be expected in a shuttle... 43 case, 38 processor. (c). but it does run very quiet (since i have the fan option set to quiet fan going at ~1500 rpm, max is 3500 i think)
 
does it have agp/pci looks ?

how is the mobo for overclocking

what options does the bios offer for overclocking
 
Am I missing something here? An A64 nForce3 250 shuttle has been out for a good while now, and its 939 so it IS dual channel. But its the SN95G5, not the SN85G4 which is 754 and just the nForce3 150.

And yes it does have PCI/AGP locks because its an nForce3 250. My only complaint is they didn't use the onchip gigabit so you are stuck with gigabit on the pci bus as well as no nvidia firewall. Is everyone here just very misinformed or did I miss something?
 
This case has stolen my heart. I'm thinking about buying it next week when I pick up my paycheck. I figure this case, an A 64 3400+, 1 gig Mushkin pc3200, raptor, and old hdd as slave would be a "quaint" little setup, no?

Man, I love that case. It's just begging for some windows and fans...
