Shuttle SN45G error codes?

Just put my watercooled SN45G together and the bitch just doesn't start.
Fans power up and the leds are on but then all I hear is a hissing noise and the power led starts to flash.

Anyone know what this could mean? The user manual doesn't include error codes.. :(

Cheers,

Where is it showing an error code?

Mine usually freezes after it shows the chipset line at startup and sometimes it freezes after showing the CPU type/speed.

After poking the power button a few times it usually boots fine. Sometimes I have to turn it off for like a minute.

I have no idea why it happens. It just has issues POSTing.

I have led activitiy but no video at all. The fans power up, I can hear the hdd for a few secs and then a hissing noise.
The power led then starts to flash. And that's all. :(
The led flashes on and off and I guess that means something, I mean, Shuttle must have incorporated some sort of error codes, right?

Edit: What I mean is that the power led flashing is the error code, and I want to know what it means.

i think i know what's up.

you're using water. you're not using a fan, and there is no fan plugged into the CPU FAN header on the motherboard, right? so, the speed sensor in the BIOS reads: "FAN OFF". and so your box won't come on.

try connecting any fan with a speed sensor into the CPU FAN header on the motherboard. :)

I put the fan back on now, and the power led stays on all the time, no video and the reset led is now flashing instead. :(

I'm going to shoot Shuttle an email, hopefully they'll be able to tell me what the problems is.

Have you tried reseating your CPU? I had this problem with my sn45g when I first got it, but pushing down pretty good on the cpu while locking the arm down fixed the problem. The last time I had the system apart to swap procs, I actually tried just sitting the proc in place and locking the arm, but I had the same problem you are. Booted up fine after I reseated it while applying pressure.

Yeah, Shuttle told me to try and reseat cpu, vga etc and try, but as you can see from the pictures it will be alot of work to dissassemble the whole thing.
I'm fed up with building this thing, I'm leaning against selling the whole lot. :(

The cause was a cracked athlon core, which makes a great excuse to buy an athlon64 system. :)

That sucks...

How much? :D

The shipping alone will set you back an arm and a leg.. :D
I'm hoping to get $230 for the shuttle and the water setup. Going to go with aircooling for the A64.
