Shuttle SFF Video Card Cooling Alternatives

I have a Shuttle SFF SN95G with an MSI Geforce 6600GT video card. The case itself is whisper quiet and the loudest thing in the case is the video card by far. I have been looking around at other cooling options such as the Zalman and a few others, but most of those fans w/heatsinks are 30mm or so in height minimum.

I meansured the clearance from the video card to the side of the case and the largest fan w/heatsink I could get is 22mm. The existing one on the video card is about 19mm.
Does anyone have suggestions as to what I could do? I could just leave it since the case is still pretty quiet, but having even less noise is always a plus. Thanks
 
Well if You where reading or searching for posts about it You would see that acctualy exept of cutting Your cover nd installing Silencer there is no real quiet solutions for cooling a grafic card in a G chassis.

Well there are solutions for better cooling of a grafic card but not realy for making it less noisey.

If Your temps are good but fan is just bit to noisey Yo ucan slow it down a notch with a fan regulator (fanmate or rheostat) or even solder a resistor serial on plus wire of a fan.

It would lower a rpms a little and temp would rise a bit but it would be quieter.

In combination with cover with a mash it would be cool suficiently to.

Other problem is that You are using 6600GT wich is native PCI-e card hence to work in AGP systems it has little interface AGP to PCI-e bridge and layout of that chips is damn stupid so GPU comes 30 mili higher then on PCI-e version and that results in a fact that aftermarket coolers stick to high above a card and stock coolers are installed in strange position.

To check wich resistor You need to use to still have sufitient cooling and to lover a noise level pre wire rheostat (300 Ohm) and turn it till You have good compromise. Then measure how much resistance that is and get resistors in that value. Small fans need 80 to 220 Ohm mostly and biger case fans from 10 to 40 Ohm. Be shure to isolate soldering points.
