Anyone know if my EVGA GTX 480 will fit in this ok? Or is that wishful thinking? Been awhile since I had a SFF.

Based on dimensions, it should work, but not sure? Anyone running this? And what about the 300 watt psu? Does this thing have the power to run a 480 like the old ones used to be able to run the 9700 pro and 9800 pro?

looking at the case, your gpu would struggle to get any airflow, would = a very hot case.

a SG05 at least has that 120mm fan in the front and much bigger ventilation holes on the side
 
Well, the Shuttle case uses a HS that's built into the rear of the case to remove CPU heat, so at least that is not an issue (hopefully).

However, the GPU fan will need to ramp up a fair bit, but I get the feeling this wasn't designed for a GPU that's been known to draw more than 300W by itself... (GTX480, that is).
 
is the graphics card a double slot ? if so.. you will have to modify the case for it to fit, and the graphics card would stick out the side like a supercharger on an old hot rod.

I could be wrong, im only familiar with older shuttle xpcs. but from the looks of the ones on the website, not much as changed.

typically, there is one grahpics card slot, and one pci slot. they are both single din slots.

I had a double slot GTS250 in a single slot on my shuttle xpc, with the cover removed, also removed the metal plate that has the DVI ports since thats a double wide slot too. you prolly dont want to hear this.. but now that PCI-e slot is dead.. not exactly sure why.
 
Well someone reviewed it at newegg and said they had a 6950 2 gb in it...so hmm...

Another thing is, you could techincally downclock the GTX 480 alittle if you wanted, ramp the fan up, or run with the case off like I used to on my old ones. The 300 watt is small in wattage, but apparantly is bronze rated and can handle some decently hefty gpus.

Shuttle finally updated their mobo layouts to something more logical, allowing dual slot GPU.
 
PS I really happen to like this case, it's in the middle of the SG05 and SG07 looks great offers 4x USB 3.0, offers decent cpu cooling and up to a 500W (with 3 rails) PSU...and is a decent (but not great) price for just the case/psu/mobo. Too bad it doesn't seem like the case is really reusable when you want to upgrade as it follows a non standard mobo & psu size.

Have a look on ebay etc. to see if you can get one of the J series shuttle's they have a itx lay out so you can replace the board with your choice of itx board :)

wow looking on ebay the prices of those things are really expensive (at least in/to Australia) not worth the price at all!
