This is the new motherboard in the SN45GV3.

It's just like the FN4V2.0 in the sn45gv2's but they've added SATA w/ raid onboard.

I plan on swapping this out with my current mobo and stick the old one into a chassis I have laying around here...maybe make a 2nd PC...

Question is...where can I just get the mobo?

Can't find just mobo's on shuttles site...none on ebay...none with froogle...none here...

Help?

I emailed shuttle. I'll hopefully find out more on Monday.

Unless someone knows where they sell them...

Most of the links I've found on it are for European sites, also noticed that they removed the MCP-T chipset for the new RAID one. :(

Anyways I'm interested in one so please post the response you get. :) (unless you think you'll upgrade to it from your current board ;) Give a PM if so).

srry we dont sell just the individual mobos, used for wty purposes only mate

XPC SN45GV3

Features:
Socket A, 400FSB, supports Sempron

Chipset: Nvidia Nforce2 Ultra 400, MCP-T
AGP8X/PCI-Slots, 2x S-ATA Raid

Remark:
"V3" version supports Serial-ATA

All they did was add SATA w/ RAID support...That's why I'm interested in it...I will be replacing my current FN45v2.0 with this one if I get my hands on it...

This means I could get rid of my controller card and perhaps use a tv tuner card in it or something to that effect...and maybe i'll get a little more performance out of my HD's since they won't be limited to the PCI bus...

Thats odd since Shuttle use to list seperate XPC mobos on their site for purchase.

on note, sn45 gv3 mobo has new usb heeader controller pin

That's fine. I only use 1 for my mouse and keyboard, which is the actual motherboard USB connector...my webcam, digicam etc are hooked up through my display s USB hub...

I haven't seen them sell motherboards for a while...even refurb...I used to check all the time...now I cant find the refurb section... :-\

Supposedly the V3 still has the MCP, but it is no longer a soundstorm chip. That means that all multi speaker configs are handled by an extra chip (probably realtek or something), and it no longer supports hardware Dolby Digital encoding. I have't been able to find a real good SN45G V1/V2 vs V3 comparision though to be 100% sure.

Yeah I just saw something to that effect over @ the sudhian forums.

Possibly ditching Soundstorm for the use of SATA or soemthing...MCP-T compared to MCP-S...hmmm...

It would be pointless to get this over my current system cause I'd just have to buy a sound card... :-\

If thats the case I'll just use this system until I get a 939 A64 XPC...someday...

It uses the "newer" MCP RAID which drops SoundStorm but adds SATA and RAID. It's like this Abit NF7-S2. Notice that it's a NF7-S2, around the time the NF3 boards started to come out NV moved the southbridge on them into the older NF2 boards and called it MCP-RAID or something like that. I remember reading the article over at Anand about it but it was awhile before these new NF2 boards showed up.

The point is no SoundStorm.

Well no soundstorm = no deal...

:-\

Looks like I'm waiting for a while...

Thanks for all the replies guys
