-cut the rear honeycomb girll on the back of the case
-yes putting a more powerful fan does help the temps, but it will be noitceably louder
-imo: use a 80-92mm fan adapter, and mount the fan externally (exausting all of the air)...
thats in a shuttle? I just got mine.. I guess i should cut out the honey comb thing on the back.. Either way..
does anyone have any advice on how I can get the shuttle to run quieter?
I take it the main ICE fan should be replaced. And the PSU fan? or the whole PS? I have a Crystal ORB on my radeon, I don't know if thats making a lot of noise, i don't think it is. I'll take it off if I have to. If anyone's got any tips, it would be appreciated. The noise this thing makes is driving me crazy.. Thanks a lot.
i cut out the grill in the back added a 80mm top blowhole using 2 coolermaster LED Fans and with my 2500 Barton @ 3200+ 400mhz oc I idle at 32c on the proc 30c case and 31 on the psu and load is 45 max on proc 35 case and 37psu !
ok. so maybe it was my crystal orb.. i just checked.. that thing was actually touchin the side of the case. that can't be good. haha. aight.. what are the suggestions on replacement ICE fans? Thanks.
