I think it will but I think the first one will have better cooling I'm gana be using some of my old parts a athlonxp 2000+ and a 40gig hard drive now will that powersuply handle it or should I also get a 250w psu and upgrade it I know I've seen people with 6800gt run on them and overclocked I dont think the amd 2000+ and hard drive should take to much power

what do you guys think

To be honest I do not think I would bother with a 6800U in a small form factor system.

Three reasons...

1) Heat, it generates a lot of heat
2) Size, takes at least on pci slot adjacent to your AGP
3) PSU requirements, while 480watts has been tossed around lately, I still think a quality 350watt PSU is about the minimum you want to go, considering they recommend connecting each molex connector to a different lead.

If I were you, I would think about a 6600GT, or even a single slot solution of the 6800GT, if you know you can make it work.

The last thing you want to be way overspec on your PSU, and cause unneccsary system instability and headaches.

Check with the guys in the sff section. I think people have crammed 6800 series cards into shuttles.

i havnt heard of any ultra's being placed in sff systems unless the card is water cooled or they cut a sizable chunk out of the side of the case.

most sff systems I have seen use a single slot cooled 6800GT.

well I all ready have a 6800ultra in my current system and I want to take it with me I dont realy care about it taking the other pci slot since I wont use it
also I think the first sff case shouldnt have much of a heat problem since it has all those holes right where the card fan is

I'm only reay woried of power since this is a sff case it shouldnt realy be taking much power especialy with a amd xp cpu
